I LOVE photographing real people, for real.  I had SO much fun with Jillian and Kevin because they were both willing to let down their guard and be goofy, intimate, and joyful throughout their whole day!  While so many weddings contain the same elements of the day, it's the people that make this job fun and every wedding unique.  I say, BE YOU!  And let me document it ;)

I had so much fun photographing Heather and Christian's wedding.  As you can tell from the photos, they and their whole family laughed easily and took great delight in the day!  Heather and Christian had their ceremony outside at Ashlawn Highlands in Charlottesville, Virginia and then used Ashlawn's indoor barn reception space.  We had a gorgeous Virginia early summer day, and the result is awesome!  I hope you enjoy!

Another beautiful wedding on the blog today - this time and intimate, DIY affair on a beautiful, sunny afternoon!  Becca and Jacob were such a relaxed pair; their wedding was a job to share in.  Blessings to you both in your new life together!

I absolutely LOVE when a family decides to let me in on the rehearsal dinner!  You get to know the family so much better, which makes the wedding day go more smoothly, and you also often get to observe more intimate moments between the closests guests at the wedding.  Lara and Eric's lovely rehearsal dinner at Maya in downtown Charlottesville is a great example of this.  Their wedding post will be up tomorrow!

So, you'll probably be able to tell by the quanity of photos, but I SO loved photgraphing and participating in Katie and Brent's wedding!  Their love for Jesus, their families, and each other was so evident throughout the whole day that you couldn't help but get caught up in the overflow of joy.  Katie and Brent, I wish you all the very best in your new life together!
