One of my dear friends and her family with their newest addition.  Little Tessa was around two weeks when I photographed her, so we stuck mostly to lifestly portraits, though she did give me some great sleep time at the end for the wagon shots!  Thanks, sweetie!

There are few things that I love more than witnessing a family welcome a new bundle of joy into the world, so you can imagine how tickled I was to go see little baby Bryce last weekend to document part of his first days with mommy and daddy.  And doesn't mommy look AMAZING!  Can't wait for Bryce's newborn session tomorrow!

My dear friend Heidi had a baby!  And, oh my goodness, he is beautiful!  If you notice any bruising in these photos, I made the decision not to edit out the blue for a very specific reason.  This little guys' entrance into this world happened about 108 hours after Heidi started in with consistent conractions.  I think all of that work, both by momma and baby, deserves acknowledgement!  I find so much beauty in the fact that, despite her exhaustion and pain, Heidi kept her eyes on Jesus, and he carried her through labor, one of the most cross-mirroring experiences that we go through as women.  While I spent the afternoon with this new family, there was a sweet peace, as James as Heidi worked together to care for their little bundle of joy and laughter.  Thank you both for letting me share in your growing joy!
