When I interviewed with these two to shoot their wedding, I got in the car and immediately called my best friend to say, "I want to work this this couple!  They are SO cool!"  Seriously - these two laugh together.  Introvert together.  Serve together.  Support each other.  They are creative and personal and fun!  I had such a wonderful time working with them for this session and can't wait for their summer wedding!

"My hope is built on nothing less

than Jesus blood and righteousness

I dare not trust the sweetest frame

But wholy trust in Jesus' name.

Christ alone, Cornerstone, weak made strong in the Savior's love.

Through the strom, He is Lord - Lord of All."

I almost started crying when the musicians started singing this as the song to which Joanna and her father would walk down the aisle to Peter.  And it so captures the entirety of the day.  Yes, a wedding.  Yes, a love between to people.  But more than that - a beginning of a new life together that, at it's beginning gave all the glory, credit, and emphasis on the greatest demonstration of love that ever was.  Photographing Peter and Joanna's wedding was like a little taste of heaven - tons of accents, ethnicities, and churches represented.  I am so thankful for the honor of participating!  Also, so beautiful - enjoy a peek at their day!

Lara and Zack's wedding this October was one of the prettiest weddings I think I've photographed :)  The beautiful floral details from Hedge were amazing, and the whole day sang of beauty!  Enjoy!

As promised... all the prettiness of Lara and Eric's Pippin Hill wedding on the blog today!  I just LOVE the way these two smile at each other - like their love is a bit overwhelming.  During their ceremony, some friends of theirs sang on of my favorite songs, "Beautiful" by Gunger, about God's ability to make beautiful things from the difficulties of our lives.  The chorus says, "You make beautiful things, you make beautiful things out of us."  Lara and Eric, my prayer for your marriage is that in the lovely of the garden blooms and in the difficulty of weeding and pruning, that you would remember that God is the one creating the loveliness that is to be a representation of His love and reconciliation in the world. Blessings on your new life together!!!
