When Corey and Brandon contacted me about photographing their wedding, I was so excited!  Corey and I went to the same high school, and I lived with her older sister while we were in college.  Photographing weddings with such a personal connection always multiplies the joy in my job.  I found so much beauty in watching Corey and Bradon, who clearly love each other so fully and so well, express their love both for God and their community as they went through their wedding day. 

I highly encourage you to check out the list of vendors posted below the photos, as everyone was amazing!  Sierra Vista is such a beautiful location, Katie from A Little Party Events ran the day so smoothly, the food from Blue Oregano was fantastic, and, as a reflection of Brandon's love of coffee, the coffee bar from The Green Cupboard provided amazing (thyme and lavendar) lattes.  Through and through, this wedding was such a joy to document :)

I had a sudden realization today that I'm way behind on my blogging!  And, in the middle of all the rain we're getting, I thought this lovely summer wedding would be just the thing to remind us that the sun will shine again!  Alison and Brian were SO much fun to photograph.  They love each other vibrantly and with great joy.  Enjoy the happiness!

I had so much fun photographing Heather and Christian's wedding.  As you can tell from the photos, they and their whole family laughed easily and took great delight in the day!  Heather and Christian had their ceremony outside at Ashlawn Highlands in Charlottesville, Virginia and then used Ashlawn's indoor barn reception space.  We had a gorgeous Virginia early summer day, and the result is awesome!  I hope you enjoy!

A few weeks ago, I met up with Micah and Gilbert at Chiles Peach Orchard in Crozet, Virginia to shoot their engagement session (and pick some awesome strawberries!).  We had such a great time together!  I loved watching how much joy Micah and Gilbert took in being together, learning about how they met through a Bible study and fell in love, and seeing the excitement in their eyes as they anticipate their wedding.  Here are a few of my favorites from their session!
